The short answer is yes. Most car rental companies do not require an International Driving Permit as long as you can provide a valid driver’s license issued in your home country.
If you driver’s license is issued in language that uses Latin alphabet (for example, French, Spanish, German, etc.), the International Driving Permit is not required by most states.
Note that the following rules apply in most states:
● a photocopy of your driver's license will not be accepted;
● a Learner’s Permit will not be accepted as it is not enough to rent a car;
● a temporary driver’s license will not be accepted if the car rental company will not be able to find a verification of your identity.
